The Role: Account Manager

The Hours: Monday-Friday 09:00 – 17:00

Location: Crawley

Salary: £25,000 (OTE £40,000)

My client is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with the client’s business customers, ensuring their telecommunications needs are met and providing top-notch service and support.

Job specification

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with business customers to understand their specific telecommunications needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring prompt response to inquiries and concerns.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling telecommunications services to existing clients.
  • Develop account growth strategies to meet revenue and retention targets.
  • Collaborate with technical and product teams to design customised telecommunications solutions that align with the needs of each customer.
  • Present and negotiate service contracts and pricing with clients.
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and agreements.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns and service issues promptly, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Escalate and coordinate with relevant departments for technical support or service improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, contract details, and progress reports.
  • Provide regular reports on customer account performance and status.

 

Candidate requirements:

  • Proven experience in business-to-business account management, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications products and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques and the ability to negotiate service contracts and pricing with clients.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Prompt and responsive communication with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address customer concerns and service issues.
  • Analytical skills to understand customer needs and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and product teams to design customised telecommunications solutions.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team to meet customer needs effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and the Microsoft Office suite for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to adapt to and understand new telecommunications technologies.

  • Efficiently maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, contract details, and progress reports.
